Summer time
Everyone im sure in excited, it's almost summer, we have like five more days of school left. This summer im hoping to go to the beach alot. Also get myself together with what I want to do with my life. The only bad thing is, summertime always makes me slack off and forget everything i have learned. So I plan on maybe keeping up with my studies.
Is Grandma drugged up?- TV
Phillips got a call from his grandmother and she was asking what the day was and if it was day or night. They don't think it is Alzheimer's, they now think it is the medication. He then called his brother and asked him. So they went to go see if she was okay, and they found her stumbling and not being able to talk. I think this is very sad, i do also think they should watch how much mediciene they are giving elderly people, because their bodies can not handle it.
Woman dies after life spent in iron lung-TV
For almost 60 years Dianne Odell lived inside a metal tube, not being able to breath in the outside world. With living in a 750-pound iron lung she graduated high school, took college courses, and wrote a childrens book. She died after the electricity got messed up inside her tube, and cause no air to get into her lungs. She was 61 years old, she claims she has lived a wonderful and fullfilling life. I think this is amazing to here that somone can live out of a metal lung. I think if people can live inside a metal tube that maybe people with lung cancer can possibly live in one of these tubes.

Manson ranch dig turns up only animal bones-CNN.com-READ
On Tuesday, a group of investigators went to Charles Mansion's house to look for remaining bones from his killing spree in 1969. They did not find any sign of human bones or remains, they did find animal remains and bones though. For a couple of years people have said that people who have been hitchhiking up to visit that house or runaways in general going up to see what it is like, never returned. But investigators have proved them wrong because of them not being able to find any sign of human remains. I think this is a very scary thought, people actually want to go out and kill other people. If i saw someone digging up my neighbor's house i would be out of there. Because i do not want anything around me that is haunted.
Officer breast-feeds quake orphans-CNN.com-READ
A chinese police women has taken it apon herself and breast feed some of the infants, that were seperated from their mothers, after the earth quake in China. Some of the infants mothers were dead, and some of the fathers were dead, and the other infants were orphans. She also thought from the heart and helped the other children first before her own. I think this is one of the nicest things someone could ever do for someone in need. And I think that this lady should maybe get something in return, but i guess there is not much to give in return after an earthquake.

Smiley Face killers may be stalking college men-CNN.com
A "perfect" guy, went out with his buddies for a fun halloween night. He was bar hopping, and he went missing then. Four months later his body was found in the Mississippi River. The police claim it to be a accident, that he had to much to drink and fell in the river. But now they have had other encounterments like this, so they are questioning. They now rule it as homicide. This is a very scary thing to think about. I think this is something all college student should look out for. They should also maybe not let people leave by themselves if they are over the limit.
Starvation claiming Ethiopia's tiniest- CNN.com
The weather in Ethiopia has caused many problems, but the biggest problem is the malnuritionment of the children. Three year old Bizunesh weighs only ten pounds. She cannot speak ethier. Health officials say she is stunted. Her legs and arms are like praying mantis. Most harvests are ruined because rain does not come soon enough to save the harvest. I think this is a very sad situation, i wish there was something we could do to help all these children out.

Women 50 lost 75 pounds-TV
This lady her name is Barbra Aldrich, lost 75 pounds and she is 50 years old, i have alot of repsect for her because she actually took the time to lose that weight and and not just sit around and do nothing. She is pretty much my role model. I think every women that thinks they are over weight should ask her about the information on how she did it and they should take tips from her.
Vanity Plates-TV
Throughout the Middle East, license plates are being sold at auctions for millions of dollars. These plates are known as Vanity Plates. the number one plate is the most expensive and known. I think that it is ridiculous. If rich people spent twenty million dollars on food for the people or local charities the world could become a better place. It is frustrating. When symbols of wealth cost more than 90% of the worlds people can even fathom. At the auction the money should be given to communities instead of pocketed by the govt.
Kids Book call Pot just a Plant-TV
Some schools are reading a book called " It's Just a Plant", and some parents had some negative but some parents had some positive effects on this book. Some parents had to say that it is horrible, and some parents said that it is very good for the kids to know about marijuana because they would rather them know then them do it wrong and mess their lives up. I think it could be a good but bad idea, because as we know already children are growing up alot faster then most children did in the past. So maybe them finding out about this could be bad they might think they need to try it.
'CSI' star charged with felony drug possession-TV (read)
CSI star player Gary Dourdan has been charged with felony possession of heroin, cocaine and ecstasy. Following up with his arrest. He was found in his car parked the wrong way with his interior light on. This makes me so mad. Because he had it good he was famous he had a good job, and then he messes up with drugs. I cannot believe this, this is going to ruin the show, and all the other cast members are going to be very upset with him.
Olympic Torch reached MT Everest-TV
In resent news the Olmypic Torch has reached Mt Everest, the crew that went with made it two hours earlier then expected to be reached. It was reported that the flame was easily passed from torch to another at the mountain summit. I think this is a wonderful event. They had to have been excited to reach it two hours early. The idea of taking the torch up to the Mountain top is showing that we all are workin together to make something work out for all of us.
PROM!
So as we can all imagine prom is the time when everyone wants to drink. There is a rumor going around that there is going to be breathlizers at the prom. This rumor went around last year too. But there was alot of people going around saying that they were drinking before and after prom. I honestly do not know what to believe because they can get a permit to do that but i do not think they will spend the money, to see if we are messing around or being stupid. Because they are going to have to breathlize everyone because everyone acts up at prom.
Obama Trailors Message for West-TV
He supports he use of coal. Obama knows that his support of clean energy may worry voters in this area. Montana's Primary which have seventeen deligates which is June 3, 2008. Two of the States super deligates support Obama. Obama's chance in Montana with only two of the super deligates seems a little iffy. I think Obama might have a chance though, because how he is looking now it is pretty good, with everyone wanting him.
Gary Redner-TV
His reward is now up to 100,000. That is crazy how we still did not find out who did this. It is actually really weird with working at Redners because everyone comes in asking if we knew him and if they found anything out, and i always worry that they might be the killer, crazy huh?. But i just wish there was something i could do to help the police out to find the murderer. I just hope they find out who it is before it is to late.
Reading Man who stabbed Women arrested in Philadelphia- Reading Eagle
They found Glenn Lyons, in Philadelphia and they have him in custody without bail. They have not yet said he is responsible for the killing, but he is a big suspect. I think this is so good that they finally found him. I mean there has been so many murders in the past couple months, its scary. But luckyly they found him.
Facebook safeguards will protect young users-CNN.com
Facebook is known to be the most popular website now for young teens, and now younger children think they can go and make one now. But Facebook is putting over forty safeguards on facebook so children can not mess around and get in trouble. Facebook had over seventy million active users around the world. That is ridiculous, I personally think that we as older kids should not be showing or influencing younger children to want to be on the website.
Katrina victim claims $97 million lottery prize- CNN.com
A construction company owner that had lost two homes in the Hurricane Katrina, won the power ball. He was the first in Louisiana's history to win the power ball. On his way home after winning he bought his wife a gallon of milk. All he had on him was a dollar and some change and that is what he used to buy the ticket. He does not want to buy expensive cars and a huge house, he wants to savior the money, for he had lost all that due to the Hurricane. I think this is a wonderful thing, he deserved it in any way. And i hope he gets his confidence back because now he can try to make it again with all this money he has won now.
Embryonic Stem Cell Research (read) TV
I have been reading about Embryonic Stem Cell Research, and it is a very helpful new discover in the world, but it could also be bad. The way they use the Embryonic Stem Cells is they get unused embryos and fetus' of aborted or miscarried babies. I think this could be bad and good. Bad because they are pretty much sacrificing the embryos and then we get to benefit. But it can be good because it can help with alot of diseases that we need to help with because as we get into the future we see more and more of it.

Scholary-New York Times Cylcone
A powerful cyclone hit Myanmar three days ago, there are 22,500 deaths were reported so far. There are still 41,000 people missing. The reporters think that it was the tidal wave that killed or hurt most of the people. Over one million people have lost their homes due to this cyclone. International aid is helping by supporting people with food and shelter. They are worried about many diseases such as malaria and cholera, but they are giving people tablets to purify their water supply. I think this is a very sad situation because there are alot of people that lost their lives, and alot without food or shelter. I wish there was something that i could do to help.

Lady kidnapped and murdered
A lady from Lebanon, got kidnapped Thursday, and was found dead in her car Sunday, by her friend at the Wernersville State Hospital. She was stabbed and straggled to death and left in her car. They had reporters from all over at the crime scene. This is a very scary event to hear about. Because not to long ago, Gary Redner was murdered, so this is a very scary thought for everyone who lives around the area.

Gas Prices
So as we can all see that the gas prices have risen sky high, and soon gas is going to be unaffordable. It is ridiculous how the price can go up within so little time. Us kids are not going to be able to drive from place to place, because with minimum wage job and school we do not have much time to make money, and we are not going to be able to afford gas to go every place we need to go too. Also school buses are soon not going to be able to transfer us from school to home because if gas goes any higher, and with the amount of buses a school district has, it is going to be outrageous. I think us as a country should try and make a solution to gas prices, or there is going to be gas strikes and then the economy is going to have to pay for that.
